Men's Soccer Hosts Georgia Southern Tonight

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State men's soccer team returns to home action tonight, as the Pack plays host to Georgia Southern at 7:00 p.m. at the Dail Soccer Field. NC State enters the contest with an overall record of 4-5 on the season, but is 4-1 against non-conference foes with the only loss to current No. 3 Louisville in overtime.
Even more impressive, NC State is 3-0 at home against non-conference opponents, outscoring them 11-2.
The Pack's offense has been leading the way this season, as NC State currently leads the ACC in goals scored (21) and in assists (21). Nine different players have found the back of the net this season for NC State, while 13 players have recorded at least one point.
Senior defender Tyler Lassiter leads the team in both goals (5) and points (11). The Pack also has three other players who have each scored three times this season, seniors Akil DeFreitas and Chris Zuerner and sophomore Michael Smith.
Georgia Southern enters the contest at 3-4-1 on the season, with a 0-2 mark in Southern Conference play. The Eagles lost at Appalachian State 1-0 over the weekend, after NC State downed Appalachian State at home last week, 2-1.
