Women's Soccer Ends Season With Loss at Va. Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Marika Gray scored once and handed out two assists to help Virginia Tech to a 4-0 win over NC State in the ACC women’s soccer regular-season finale for both clubs.
Katie Cramp scored just 3:10 into play off an assist from Gray to give the home-standing Hokies a 1-0 advantage.
Jazmine Reeves added another goal in the first half to send Virginia Tech to a 2-0 lead into halftime. Kelly Conheeney sent a through ball to Reeves and she connected for her fifth goal of the season at the 19:05 mark.
Gray found Conheeney midway through the second half for her fifth goal of the year at the 61:06 mark.
Gray added an unassisted goal in the final minute to cap the match.
Virginia Tech held an 18-8 shot advantage, and improved to 10-8-1 on the season, 4-5-1 in the ACC. NC State finishes the 2010 season with a 7-12 overall record, 1-9 in the league.
