Men's Soccer Hosts Navy Tuesday Night

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men’s soccer team returns to home action this week, as the Wolfpack plays host to Navy on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Dail Soccer Field. NC State enters the contest at 6-6-2 on the season, while Navy sports a record of 7-3-3.

NC State has been impressive in non-conference action this season, as the Pack goes into the Navy game with a perfect 5-0 mark in non-conference games played at home. NC State has outscored its opponents 17-5 in those contests.
The Wolfpack is 2-1-2 over the last five games, earning ties against then-No. 11 Duke (0-0) and also at Wake Forest (1-1). NC State was off this past weekend, and last time out downed Coastal Carolina 3-1 last Wednesday.
NC State’s offense has led the charge this season, as the Pack has outscored its opponents 28-22 on the season. NC State ranks second in the ACC in goals per game (2.00) and also second in points per game (6.07). Ten different players have recorded a goal, with five players scoring at least three times apiece.
The Mids enter the contest with a 7-3-3 overall record and are in a fourth-place tie in the Patriot League with a 2-1-2 record. This past weekend, Navy came back for a two-goal rally in the games final 25 minutes for a 3-2 victory over Holy Cross on Saturday.
NC State leads the overall series, 2-1-1, with this being the first contest between the two teams since 1984.
