Men's Soccer Travels to No. 21 South Carolina

The NC State men’s soccer team will be in non-conference action Tuesday night, as the Wolfpack will travel to Columbia, S.C., and take on No. 21 South Carolina at 7:00 p.m.

The Pack sits at 5-5-1 on the season, coming off of a 0-0 tie with No. 11 Duke this past weekend. Keeper Will Mackvick picked up his second shutout of the season against the Blue Devils, and has played all but 56 minutes in goal this season.
The Gamecocks will be the Pack’s sixth ranked opponent this season, as South Carolina is ranked No. 21 by CollegeSoccerNews.com this week. The Gamecocks enter the contest with a 6-3-1 overall record, coming off a 1-0 victory over No. 5 Tulsa over the weekend.
Senior defender Will Traynor tallied his fourth goal of the season and the first game winner of his career in the over Tulsa. Traynor and classmate Blake Brettschneider lead the Gamecocks with four goals each. Gamecock goalkeeper Jimmy Maurer collected his fifth shutout of the season versus Tulsa.
