A senior biological sciences major, Samantha Bullard is January’s female CAT Scholar athlete.

The Sanford, N.C., native has shot in all air-rifle and smallbore events for three-plus years. She shot a career-high in smallbore earlier this year with a score of 559. The same match yielded her highest aggregate score with 1,135 points. During the 2008-09 season, she shot a career-high in air-rifle with 583 points.

           
Bullard, who boasts a GPA of 3.09, shot a team-high in air-rifle at three different matches in 2008-2009 season and five matches team-highs in her first two years.  She has been named to the All-SEARC team in all three seasons, finishing fourth in 2009 and sixth in the

2008 season individually.
