Saleeby Sisters Named to ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sisters Joanna and Julie Saleeby were selected to the 2009 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Women’s Golf Team as announced today by Commissioner John D. Swofford.

 It marked the second consecutive year that both sisters, who hail from Raleigh, were honored for their work in the classroom.

Duke’s Amanda Blumenherst was tabbed the Women’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second-straight year.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
