Shepard Named Second-Team Academic All-American

RALEIGH, N.C. - Senior gymnast Ashley Shepard was named a ESPN The Magazine CoSida Second-Team Academic All-American after another standout season academically and athletically.
Shepard, who had a 4.0 GPA throughout her four years of college and was the third straight Wolfpack gymnast to graduate as NC State's valedictorian,
Shepard also earned honors as a CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large First-Team after being named to the second team last year.
Shepard also earned an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, ACC Postgraduate Scholarship and was named EAGL Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
