Blackmon Improves on Her Own School Record

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Angelina Blackmon improved her own school record in the 800m, shaving almost two seconds off of her time to lead NC State track and field at the UNC Elite Meet Friday Night.
Blackmon won the event with a time of 2:05.78 - a NCAA Regional mark - topping her old mark of 2:07.26. It was the fourth time this season that she hit a qualifying mark in the event.
Lawanda Henry got her sixth NCAA Regional mark in the shot put and her second in the hammer throw in winning both events at the meet.
Brittany McCain won the discus for the second time this season.
