Bethea Second in High Jump in Heptathlon

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Mattie Bethea is eighth overall in the heptathlon at the Deacon Combined Events Classic heading into the final three events on Wednesday. Bethea hit a regional mark in the high jump, posting a season-high with a 5'09.25".

She scored 3,055 points through the first four events, with three left - javelin, long jump and 800m.

The meet continues today at 3pm in Winston-Salem, N.C.
