INDIANAPOLIS - The NC State women's golf team earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Central Regional Championship on Monday. The Wolfpack’s invitation marks the eighth-straight trip to the championship in nine seasons since the program was reinstated in 2000.
NC State is the 13th seed in the field of 21 teams that will compete in the Central Regional, which takes place Thursday, May 7 through Saturday, May 9 at the Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio, hosted by Ohio State University.
The Wolfpack is ranked No. 30 in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin performance index, while Golfstat has the Pack No. 35.
Last season, Lauren Doughtie qualified as an individual, but as a team, NC State fell short by one shot from making its first trip to the NCAA Women’s Golf Championships.
