Jones, Savage Hit NCAA Marks at ACC Outdoors

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Jason Jones and Lamont Savage turned in top-6 performances and picked up NCAA regional qualifying marks in their respective events on Friday at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Jones was fifth in the shot put with a 57'01.50", his fourth qualifying mark in the event so far in 2009.
Savage was sixth in the long jump with an outdoor-best 24'02.50", his first NCAA regional qualifying mark.
Gregory Dame was 10th in the 1,500m in the prelims and will compete in the finals of the event on Saturday as he looks to earn the men's team valuable points in the team standings with a high finish.
