RALEIGH, N.C. NC State head volleyball coach Charita J. Stubbs announced the signing of Jingyi Wang to the program on Wednesday, April 15. A native of the Hebei province in the People’s Republic of China, Wang will be a part of the team for the 2009 season.
Standing at 6’3”, Wang will function as a middle blocker for the Wolfpack.
“We are very excited to add Jingyi to our program,” said Stubbs. “She adds great height and athleticism and is a very good blocker. She enters our program with tremendous potential.”
Wang will enroll with the Pack as a true freshman.
NC State will begin its season by hosting the NC State Tournament, Aug. 28-29, at historic Reynolds Coliseum. The Pack will take on Morgan State, Charleston Southern, Campbell and Davidson across the two-day spread.
