NC State will wrap up its home schedule this weekend with a three-game ACC set against Florida State. The Pack and Seminoles will play two games on Saturday, April 18 beginning at 1 p.m., with the third and final game coming at 12 noon on Sunday, April 19. GoPack.com will carry live stats for the entire series, while ACC Select will offer a live video broadcast of Sunday’s contest.
Saturday’s twin bill against Florida State will serve as “Pack 4 Pink” a breast cancer awareness and fundraising event. The NC State softball team will wear specially designed pink Under Amour jerseys to commemorate the event, which will be sold off via a silent auction. All proceeds will go directly to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund. Other items on the auction block include but are not limited to coach’s jerseys, pink visors signed by the team and a pink Wilson basketball.
During the game fans can place bids, with the players presenting and autographing winning items after the game. Only cash or checks will be accepted for the silent auction, and bids will be accepted until the fifth inning of the second game of the doubleheader.
Breast cancer survivors in attendance will be recognized, and contests and prizes will be held throughout both games.
