Wolfpack Club Kicks Off Spring Caravan

RALEIGH, N.C. The Wolfpack Club kicked off its annual spring tour of the Southeast Tuesday night, with football coach Tom O’Brien and athletics director Lee Fowler as the featured speakers at its stop in Edenton.
It was the first of 23 Caravan stops and nearly two dozen plates of barbecue planned between now and August, featuring Fowler, O’Brien, Wolfpack Club Executive Director Bobby Purcell, basketball coach Sidney Lowe and other varsity head coaches.
“It was a chilly night in Eastern North Carolina but we had a huge crowd,” Fowler said of the first stop. “They were expecting about 150 people, but there ended up being well over 200 people there. Tom loved seeing that kind of support.
“They were all excited to see us, and it was a great opportunity for us to thank them for their support. That’s the best thing about this tour talking to people from around the state who are devoted to our school and its programs.”
All but two dates on the two have been solidified, with Raleigh and Lumberton, traditionally to two most attended stops, not yet finalized. Those meeting will be held in mid-April. Stay tuned to GoPack.com and www.WolfpackClub.com for more information.
“It’s always great for me to see the faithful come out to see us at these stops,” O’Brien said. “We had a great turnout the first night. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Wolfpack fans.”
