Women's Tennis Takes on No. 37 Wake Forest

RALEIGH, N.C. The NC State women’s tennis team will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. to face No. 37 Wake Forest on Wednesday, March 18. The match is slated to being at 3 p.m. The Demon Deacons are 9-4 so far this season, and only have played one conference match-up, a 6-1 loss to North Carolina. The Pack is currently 3-8 (0-1 ACC) on the season after a swift 6-1 victory over College of Charleston. NC State’s one conference loss was also to then-No. 17 North Carolina.
The Pack defeated the Demon Deacons twice last season, including a regular season win. NC State then eliminated Wake Forest from the 2008 ACC tournament in the first round.
Sophomore Lenka Hojckova is climbing the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, moving up 14 spots from No. 113 to No. 99, in the most recent rankings release. Hojckova is currently 5-4 at the No. 1 slot in singles.
Wake Forest also has one ranked singles player, No. 51 Sasha Kulikova.
