Women's Golf in 15th at LSU Golf Classic

BATON ROUGE, La. The NC State women’s golf team shot a team score of +10 (298) during the second day at the LSU Golf Classic on Saturday. The Wolfpack moved up two spots and is now in 15th among 18 teams.
Senior Lauren Doughtie moved up 43 spots from yesterday by shooting a two-under70 on Saturday and is now tied for 15th overall at +2 (76-70=146).
Freshman Meghan Chapman followed up yesterday’s 72 with a five-over 77 today and is now tied for 35th at +5 (72-77=149).
Junior Emily improved by five shots from the first round with a second-round 74 and is now tied for 66th at +9 (79-74=153).
Junior Kathleen Strandberg is tied for 75th overall at +11 (77-78=155), while Joanna Saleeby is at +16 (83-77=160).
Virginia is leading at 4 (572), followed by Wake Forest (580) and Arkansas (582).
Virginia’s Calle Nielson maintained her lead atop the field at 6 (138), followed by Arkansas’ Lucy Nunn and UNC’s Allie White at 4 (140).
Sunday’s third and final round begins at 8:30 a.m.
