Vontz Earns Specialist of the Week Award

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State sophomore gymnast Brittany Vontz earned EAGL Specialist of the Week honors after earning career-highs on bars and beam. It was her first honor of the season and the second Specialist of the Week honor of her career.
Vontz scored a personal-high 9.9 on bars, tying for second at the meet against No. 11 LSU. She also scored a career-best 9.8 on beam, and chipped in a 9.7 on floor as the Wolfpack scored its team season-high on the season.
Vontz and the NC State gymnastics team will host George Washington in Reynolds Coliseum this Friday, March 13 at 7 p.m. in its final regular season home meet.
The Wolfpack will also host the EAGL Championships on March 21 and the NCAA Regionals on April 4.
