Martinez Hits NCAA Indoor Mark

Kwame Boatwright and Eric Davis both set season-highs in the high jump as NC State men's track and field wrapped up its stay at the VT Elite Meet. In addition, John Martinez competed at the New Balance Invitational in New York finishing fourth in the 3,000m with an 8:00.76. Martinez' mark was an NCAA Indoor Provisional time.
Frank Simmons set a season and career-high in the 400m (51.40), the third-best time on the team.
Jason Jones finished fifth in the shot put with a 54'06.75".
Boatwright also was eight in the triple jump with a 46'08.00", his second-best mark this season for the team leader in the event.
