Henry Second In School-History in Weight Throw

BLACKSBURG, Va. - Lawanda Henry hit a career-high distance of 61'09.00 in the weight throw to win the event. That mark ranks second in school history and is the top mark in the ACC this season. Henry, along with the rest of her teammates, was competing at the VT Elite Meet in Blacksburg, Va.
Mattie Bethea and Kayla Lawson both tied for fifth in the high jump with a height of 5'07.00", the team-high this season and tied for fifth in the ACC.
Brittany Tinsley was fourth in the 3,000m with a time of 9:44.36, a career-high and the fourth best time in the ACC this season.
Lauren Montgomery (58.83) and Tiayonna Blackmon (2:19.01) each finished seventh in the 400m and 800m, respectively.
