Akinkuotu Breaks Own School Record

BLACKSBURG, Va. - A'Tolani Akinkuotu broke his own school record in the 60m, becoming the first athlete in school history to run a sub-6.70 time. His time of 6.68 at the VT Elite Meet in Blacksburg, Va., was good for second place after posting a 6.70 - tying his old school record - in the prelims. AKinkuotu's 6.68 is tied for fourth in the ACC this season.
Bobby Moldovan was third in the 3,000m with a time of 8:16.93. That time ranks sixth in the ACC this season.
Jason Jones was sixth in the weight throw with a career-high 58'01.25". Adam Gray was ninth in the same event with a 51'02.75".
Akinkuotu also finished sixth in the 200m with a career-best time of 22.26.
