Henry, Lawson All-ACC; W. Track & Field Second

BLACKSBURG, Va. - NC State women's track and field is second heading into the final day of the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Lawanda Henry set a school record in the weight throw and finished second, and Kayla Lawson was second in the high jump. Henry and Lawson both earned All-ACC honors for their finishes.
Henry hit a mark of 62'09.25", her second NCAA indoor provisional qualifying mark, while Lawson had a personal-best 5'09.25".
Mattie Bethea was fourth in the high jump a day after finishing third in the pentathlon to earn All-ACC honors the day before.
Alesha Patterson, who was All-ACC with a second-place finish in the high jump last season, finished sixth at this season's championships.
Brittany Tinsley was strong in the 5,000m, finishing fourth and narrowly missing out on All-ACC honors.
Brittany McCain was eighth in the weight throw, and the women's distance medley relay team was seventh at the meet.
The final day of competition will conclude on Saturday in Blacksburg, Va.
