M. Track & Field Heads to Carolina Invitational

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State men's track and field team will compete at the Carolina Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. on Friday, Feb. 13.
The men will be lead by A'Tolani Akinkuotu and Jason Jones at the meet. Jones ranks fourth in the ACC in the shot put and sixth in the weight throw. Akinkuotu leads the ACC in the 55m and is fourth in the 60m dash with four NCAA provisional marks, including a school record 6.68 last weekend.
Brandon Bias ranks sixth in the ACC in the 55m hurdles and will compete in the 60m hurdles at the Carolina Invitational.
Lamont Savage, who is eighth in the ACC in the long jump, will compete in that event in addition to the 60m dash this weekend.
While not competing this weekend, John Martinez leads the ACC with an NCAA provisional time in the 3,000m, and Bobby Moldovan is 10th in the same event.
