Barr, Seaman Earn EAGL Weekly Honors

RALEIGH, N.C. - Taylor Seaman was named the EAGL Gymnast of the Week for the second-straight week, and Brooke Barr earned EAGL Rookie of the Week honors for the second-straight week and the third time this season.
It was the third Gymnast of the Week honor of Seaman's career. Barr has earned three of the five EAGL Rookie of the Week honors so far this season.
Seaman, a junior from Greensburg, Pa., won the all-around, tied for first on vault, was second on floor and third on bars to lead NC State to four wins, including victories over EAGL foes UNC, Maryland and New Hampshire. Her 9.925 on vault is tied for the second-highest score in school history and she scored a 9.9 or higher on floor for the second-straight meet. Her all-around score of 39.375 and vault score of 9.925 (tied) are the highest in EAGL this year.
Barr, a freshman from Harrisburg, Pa., set a career-high on vault for the fifth straight meet, this time hitting a 9.9 to finish third. She also score a 9.8 on beam, a career-high, to finish second and lead the team. She finished the meet with a 9.825, her second-best floor score of the season and good for fifth at the meet.
