#14 Men's Soccer Travels to #7 Virginia

RALEIGH, N.C. – The 14th-ranked NC State men’s soccer team will conclude its regular season this weekend, as the Pack travels to No. 7 Virginia for an ACC battle Saturday at 7:00 p.m. This game is the last ACC contest of the season for all the conference schools, and will determine the seeds for next week’s ACC Tournament in Cary, N.C.
The Pack comes in with a record of 12-4-1 and 2-4-1 in conference play. NC State is 1-2-1 this season versus teams ranked in the top-10, and the Pack has posted a 1-2 record in road ACC games this season. The Pack is coming off of a 4-2 win over Presbyterian this past Tuesday, wrapping up NC State’s perfect 10-0 record against non-conference foes this season.
In the national polls, NC State checks in at No. 14 according to CollegeSoccerNews.com, No. 16 in Soccer America, and No. 18 in both the NSCAA and Soccer Times polls.
Virginia enters the contest at 11-3-2 on the season, and 3-3-1 in ACC play. The Cavs are unbeaten in their last seven games, including three straight shutouts. Virginia is ranked No. 7 in the NSCAA Poll and No. 9 on CollegeSoccerNews.com.
