RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State gymnastics signed a pair of student-athletes to compete for the Wolfpack squad next season. NC State, the reigning EAGL Champions, added Stephanie Ouellette (Maryland) and Kristen Harabedian (New Jersey) to the roster.
"Generally speaking we like to recruit all-around gymnasts, and Kristen and Stephanie fit into that mold," Wolfpack head coach Mark Stevenson said. "We are excited about the skills and routine work they bring with them and both are very strong gymnasts."
Ouellette is from Docksiders Gym in Maryland, the same gym as current freshman Rachel Fincham. Ouellette was a Pre-Elite and multiple level 10 national competitor. She is very experienced and aggressive and will help NC State immediately.
"Stephanie is a very powerful gymnast on floor, beam and bars," Stevenson said.
Harabedian is from Arena Gymnastics in New Jersey and is very solid in the all around with her specialty being on bars. She has great lines on all the events and has the skills necessary to contribute to the Wolfpack in every area.
"Kristen is very strong on bars, beam and vault," Stevenson said.
The duo will join a very strong and experienced team next season despite the departure of seniors Lauren Deuser and Taylor Seaman after this season.
