Vermont Tops Western Michigan in NC State Tourney

Raleigh, N.C. – In the first matchup of the Sheraton Raleigh Wolfpack Invitational, the Vermont Catamounts took down the Central Michigan Broncos, 79-65.
Senior guard, May Kostopoulos, led the Catamounts with 26 points. Fellow senior Courtnay Pilypaitis added 21 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. This was the first time Vermont had two players score at least 20 points since Nov. 2008 in a game against Dartmouth. Freshman Kendra Seto had a nice debut, contributing 15 points.
With 13:22 remaining in the game the Broncos cut the lead to 46-41, before Vermont went on a 21-7 run.
For the Broncos, Kemmy Dominique had 19 points, while Deairra Goss scored 16 points.
