RALEIGH, N.C. – GoPack.com, through web service provider JumpTV Inc., recently unveiled a new eight-channel video player to enhance the user experience for visitors watching premium and free content on the official athletics department website.
The GoPack Media Center will also be the home portal for a wide-range of broadcasts, live-streamed on GoPack.com, throughout the school year for audio/video subscribers to PackPass, the premium package for live and archived broadcasts.
Previously, subscribers had two separate options for viewing events from NC State and the ACC: PackPass and ACCSelect. Now, each school in the ACC has assumed production responsibilities for broadcasting various events, including select football and men's and women's basketball games not included on the league's television schedule. The full list of the 40 events broadcast this academic year is included below.
Subscribers to the PackPass video package – which includes access to all video archives of press conferences, football and basketball games, as well live radio broadcasts of men's and women's basketball games, football games and baseball games – will have access to all the new content at no additional charge. Subcrption rates are as low as $7.50 a month for annual subscribers or $9.95 for monthly subscribers. Full rates are available here.
For an additional $40 per year or $4 per month, PackPass audio subscribers – which includes only the broadcasts carried on the Wolfpack Radio Network – can upgrade to the audio/video package.
Fans can also pay a one-time fee of $5.95 to watch a single broadcast of any of the events listed below.
"The ability to combine all our multimedia services through PackPass is an important enhancement for our users, who will no longer have to choose between two different premium services," said Chris Alston, assistant athletics director for marketing and web services. "It's also a great opportunity for fans to follow not only football, basketball and baseball, but all 23 varsity sports at NC State."
The new video player, powered by NeuLion Inc. for web provider JumpTV Inc., divides all content into eight different channels , better organizing popular features such as Inside Wolfpack Athletics, live broadcasts and archived events.
It also includes an additional fan poll and a variety of season highlights.
"We are pleased to offer NC State athletics with a new service that empowers their fans like never before," said Chris Wagner, executive vice president and co-founder of NeuLion. "For the first time ever, fans will be able to see live events, video on demand, coaches' interviews, pre- and post-game footage, use polling and watch live games online.
"The video portal connects their fans, alumni, parents and students in a whole new way and adds more value to the site making it a must-see destination."
