RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State hosts No. 6 Wake Forest Thursday night at Dail Soccer Field beginning at 7 p.m. The Wolfpack currently sits tied with Miami for seventh place in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings with six points and 2-3 league slate, while the Demon Deacons are tied with Maryland for fifth with seven points and a 2-1-1 record.
How good is the ACC in women's soccer? Thursday's match is the third straight for NC State against a team ranked in the top-6 nationally.
The Pack is led on offense by sophomore Paige Dugal and freshman Kara Blosser. They have done the majority of the scoring this season for first-year head coach Steve Springthorpe. In fact, the duo has scored the last 13 Wolfpack goals spanning nine games. They rank as the third-highest scoring duo in the league.
Dugal and Blosser are tied for seventh in the ACC with 18 points apiece, and are both tied for fifth with eight goals.

Wake Forest is coming off a 3-0 victory over No. 5 Florida State last Thursday in Winston-Salem, N.C. They have moved to sixth in the NSCAA poll, while Soccer America has the Deacs No. 13 in its weekly poll.
Wake Forest senior forward Jill Hutchinson was named the ACC Player of the Week after scoring a pair of goals in the victory over the Seminoles. She leads the team with 10 goals (2nd in ACC) and 23 points this season. Her 32 career goals rank second in Wake school history, two shy of the school record.
Kaley Fountain is tied for fifth in the ACC with 20 points. Keeper Amanda Barasha is second in the league with a 0.40 GAA, while teammate Laura Morse's 0.97 GAA is good for ninth.
All-Time Series
NC State and Wake Forest will be meeting for the 17th time this Thursday. Wake leads the all-time series with the Wolfpack 11-5-1.
