RALEIGH, N.C. – Based on a strong performance through the first two fall tournaments, the NC State men’s golf team is now ranked No. 9 nationally according to GolfStat.com with an adjusted score of 73.28.
NC State started its fall campaign with a third place showing at the Maryland Intercollegiate in early September, and followed that up with a fourth place showing at the prestigious PING-GolfWeek Preview in late September. The PING-GolfWeek Preview featured five teams ranked in the top-10, and a total of 11 of the 15 teams ranked overall. Thus far, NC State has posted a record of 23-5 if you competed head-to-head, but more impressively the Pack has gone 4-4 against top-25 quads and is 12-5 against teams in the top-50 overall.
