Track & Field Competes at Tar Heel Invitational

NC State track and field will continue its 2009 indoor schedule with a trip to Chapel Hill for the Tar Heel Invitational. The five-team, scored format will run from 11 a.m. until the mid-afternoon on Saturday, Jan. 10. Leading the way in the field events will be a pair of standout throwers in Jason Jones and Lawanda Henry.
In addition, multi-event standout Mattie Bethea will pace the woman in addition to All-ACC high jumper Alesha Patterson.
On the men's side, school-record holding sprinter A'tolani Akinkuotu will help lead the men.
NC State will count on a host of talented newcomers to contribute in the meet.
