W. Track and Field Finishes Stay at Carolina Classic

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Lawanda Henry notched her second NCAA indoor provisional qualifying mark with a 50'06.25" in the shot put, only the second mark over 50 feet in school history. Henry owns the school record, set earlier this season. Tiayonna Blackmon won the 800m and Andie Cozzarelli was the 3,000m champion at the Carolina Classic.
Kara McKenna finished second in the mile, posting a 4:55.41, followed closely by Brittany Tinsley (5:00.25) in fourth.
Lauren Montgomery finished sixth in the 200m with a time of 25.93 - her season-high. Gabrielle Daniel was seventh with a 25.94.
