M. Track & Field Wins Three Events at Carolina Classic

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Three NC State track and field athletes won events as the Wolfpack finished its stay at the Carolina Classic. Bobby Moldovan, Lamont Savage and Jason Jones won events, and A'Tolani Akinkuotu was second in the 60m to pace the Pack.
Moldovan won the mile with a 4:15.60 to lead three Wolfpackers in the top-8 of the event. John Martinez was seventh and Andrew North was eighth.
Savage won the long jump with a 23'06.75", his third best mark and the second time in three meets that he won the event.
Jones won the shot put for the third time in five meets with his second-best mark of the season, a 54'07.25".
Akinkuotu was second in the 60m dash with a time of 6.83, and earlier notched a 6.79 in the prelims, the top time of the early round.
