Former Pack Goalie Takes on Prestigious Role

RALEIGH, N.C. With the Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama set for January 20, one former NC State men’s soccer player’s life will certainly change. Robert Gibbs manned the Wolfpack goal from 1990 through 1992, and now he takes on the role of White House Press Secretary for the Obama administration, with whom he has worked for since 2004.
Gibbs graduated from North Carolina State cum laude with a degree in political science.
