Vera Earns Accolades From Top Drawer Soccer

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State women's soccer improved to 3-0 on the season with a 5-1 victory over Elon last Friday night. Leading the way for the Wolfpack was Lindsay Vera who notched her third career "hat trick" against the Phoenix. For her efforts, the senior earned National Team of the Week honors by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
In only 51 minutes of action, Vera scored on her first three shots of the match in a span of just over 15 minutes in the first half to give NC State a 4-0 lead at the half.
Vera is tied for fourth in the ACC with three goals on the young season and is also among the top-5 in the league in points and shots.
NC State is back in action this weekend by hosting the NC State/Residence Inn North Women's Soccer Tournament at NC State Soccer Stadium. Friday's schedule begins with UNC Greensboro and Stetson at 5 p.m., followed by the Wolfpack and Virginia Commonwealth at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday pits NC State against Stetson at 1 p.m. and UNCG against VCU at 3:30 p.m.
