Our Confidence Keeps Growing (9/29/08)

After closing our preseason with an absolute nail-biting win over ECU, the team felt confident coming into ACC play. We spent the next week drilling our weak areas relentlessly.
For us, this first weekend of ACC play meant everything. Friday night showed how much our hard work is paying off. With the four-set win over Boston College, we definitely built some momentum going into Sunday's match against Maryland.
However, Coach Stubbs made sure we kept our feet planted firmly on solid ground.
Boston College and Maryland are entirely different teams, and we could not afford to underestimate either of them. After a solid practice Saturday morning, we enjoyed time signing autographs for the fans at the football game at Fan Zone right outside Carter-Finley Stadium.
Sunday morning, we were all wearing our game faces. We came out and again won in a four-set thriller against Maryland. This match truly showcased the huge strides we've taken as individuals and a team.
For everyone who came out and cheered us to these two victories: Thank you all. Everyone on the team is ecstatic with the support we have gotten from all Wolfpack fans.
