Iboaya Named ACC Volleyball Player of the Week

RALEIGH, N.C. Aiwane Iboaya has been tabbed as ACC Volleyball Player of the Week as announced today, Monday. Sept. 29, by the conference office. The Pack’s lone senior on the roster, Iboaya led NC State to conference victories over Boston College and Maryland this past weekend.
State (8-9 / 2-0 ACC) is off to its best start since the 2000 campaign, having won three straight and five of its last seven.
Against the Eagles on Friday, Iboaya was 10-of-20 on the attack with seven blocks as the Pack collected a 3-1 decision. Sunday against the Terrapins the St. Joseph, Mo., native hit .765, putting up 13 kills and no attack errors while adding four blocks in another 3-1 victory.
In all, she hit .541 across the weekend while averaging 2.88 kills per set.
NC State will travel to both Wake Forest and Duke this weekend.
