Women's Soccer Hosts UNF Wednesday Afternoon

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State returns to the friendly confines of NC State Soccer Stadium for a mid-week Wednesday afternoon match with North Florida at 3 p.m.
The Wolfpack has been perfect on its home pitch this season by winning all six matches so far in 2008. NC State is 7-2 overall and looks to wrap up its non-conference portion of the schedule on a high note against the Ospreys, a newcomer to the Division I ranks which is in its final year of transitioning into the NCAA’s top tier of competition.
Lindsay Vera leads the club with 19 points on seven goals and five assists, while Kara Baldy has compiled six goals and three assists for 15 points. Nadia Aboulhosn (2g, 3a, 7pts), Meredith Parrilla (5 assists) and Paige Dugal (2g, 1a, 5 pts) have paced the Wolfpack on the offensive side of the ball this season.
North Florida is coached by Linda Hamilton, who played at NC State from 1987-89. She was the 1988 ACC Player of the Year and played on three teams that earned berths to the NCAA Tournament.
UNF is 3-4-1 thus far and has played only one home game this season. Katelin Swift leads the offensive attack with nine points on four goals and one assist, while Kristen Matteuzzi and Kristin Rhodes each have scored two goals this year.
