Men's Soccer Starts Homestand Wednesday Night

RALEIGH, N.C. The NC State men’s soccer team will begin a six-game homestand this Wednesday night at the new NC State Soccer Stadium, as the Wolfpack (1-4-1) will play host to the High Point Panthers (3-3-1) at 7:00 p.m.
NC State will be looking to improve on its current home record of 1-0-1 in 2008. Last week in the first ever night game at the NC State Soccer Stadium, the Wolfpack defeated VMI, 3-1. Alan Sanchez and Ronnie Bouemboue have each netted a pair of goals this season to lead the offense, while Christopher Widman and Will Macvick have each maed three starts in goal.
The Panthers enter the game with a mark of 3-3-1 on the season, with two games coming over the last three outings. Three different players have scored a pair of goals this season, and Michael Chesler has played every minute in goal and posts a 1.49 GAA. High Point is coming off of a 2-0 loss at East Tennessee State this past weekend.
After the non-conference match-up on Wednesday, NC State will host #11 Boston College this Saturday night at 7:00 p.m.
