Women's Tennis' Mortlock Wins Singles Flight

WILMINGTON, N.C. - On the final day of the UNC Wilmington Collegiate Invitational, NC State women's tennis' Diana Mortlock earned the top spot of her singles flight with a swift win over Chelsea Kahle of UNCW. Mortlock, and senior Neils Barringer also won their doubles flight on Sunday, Sept. 14.
Mortlock took down Kahle, 6-0, 6-1, to finish the weekend-long tournament. Barringer, who was competing in the finals of her own singles flight, fell to Kayla Schwenk (UNCW), 6-4, 6-3.
In doubles play, Barringer and Mortlock proved to be a dominant duo and defeated Rocio Cabanillas and Aurey LePottier (ECU), 8-1, to win the doubles flight.
The Pack will next compete in the University of Virginia Invitational on Sept. 19-21.
