The text-based site offers stories that are easier to download on a mobile web browser or Blackberry device. The mobile site offers full-text versions of the top five stories on the front page of GoPack.com, without graphics or advertisements, plus links to all 23 NC State varsity sports.
“Mobile devices are a part of our culture and continue to grow in our student and alumni populations,” said Dick Christy, associate athletics director for external operations. “Having a mobile-friendly site to access information and news about Wolfpack athletics news from anywhere is a necessary amenity now.”
The new site is for mobile devices only. When entering address into browser, "www" is not necessary.
JumpTV Inc., web provider for GoPack.com, has also launched an enhanced media player with a wider screen and larger videos for all premium and free content on GoPack.com. Click here for more information about the new media player.
Finally, JumpTV has also unveiled a new design for all its photo galleries, allowing for larger photographs and a flash player to automatically rotate through the collection of pictures.
GoPack worked with JumpTV to launch a redesigned site on Aug. 11, offering enhanced video options and a more user-friendly format that gives users more information about Wolfpack athletics, more options for officially licensed apparel and easier access to tickets for all sports.
