Shepard Named Second-Team CoSIDA Academic All-District

Junior gymnast Ashley Shepard was named to the second-team CoSIDA Academic All-District for her performance in the gym and in the classroom during the 2008 season. Shepard, who carries a perfect 4.00 GPA in microbiology, is one of the top performers for the Wolfpack on the floor routine.
Shepard, from Rock Hill, S.C., posted the third-highest score of the year (9.875) on the floor and was a 2007 all-conference selection on the event.
Academically, Shepard has achieved a 4.00 in every semester of her career, being named to the dean's list five times (the final list for the spring of 2008 has not been released, though she has a 4.0 and will be named to the dean's list for the sixth time).
Was a member of the EAGL Conference All-Academic team for the third straight season and is a two-time selection to the ACC Honor Roll.
