52 Student-Athletes Receive Degrees at Spring Commencement

But the day belonged to the graduates and their families, so most of the 60-minute program was reserved for two former athletes who were chosen to address their classmates, five-time ACC-champion distance runner Chris Kollar and All-ACC women’s basketball standout Khadijah Whittington, who came back from WNBA training camp to receive her degree in Sport Management.
Among the graduating student-athletes were two who finished their undergraduate degrees in just three years, gymnast Mackenzie Payne, who finished her degree in Biological Sciences with a 4.0 grade point average, and wrestler Chris Gambino.
