Track & Field Heads to ACC Outdoor Championships

The NC State men's and women's track and field programs will head to Atlanta, Ga. for the ACC Outdoor Championship, Thursday, Apr. 17 - Saturday, Apr. 20. NC State will look to build on the strength of a pair of ACC titles on the men's and women's side during the ACC Indoor Championships.
The men's team finised third last season in the outdoor championships and will look to indoor All-America Dexter Adams, a host of sprinters and standout distance runners to lead it this week.
Adams won last season's outdoor title in the long jump and the 2006 and 2008 indoor titles. At the NCAA Indoor Championships this season, Adams finished sixth nationally to earn All-America honors.
John Crews won the 5,000m indoor championships, his first career ACC title.
Angelina Blackmon won her first title as well, in the 800m run during the indoor ACC championships.
DeMiracle Washington won the ACC Indoor title in the long jump, and holds the indoor and outdoor school records in the long jump. She is also an accomplished triple jumper.
The women's team finished 10th at the 2007 ACC Outdoor Championships.
