Women's Soccer Hosts Spring Game Thursday

The waiting is nearly over for the NC State women’s soccer team to take the field at the brand-new Derr Soccer Stadium Complex. This Thursday the ball will be rolled out for the first time when the Wolfpack hosts UNC Greensboro under the lights for a much anticipated spring game starting at 7 pm.
Thursday’s match with the Spartans culminates a month’s worth of spring games with the fifth and final competition date coming this week. The Pack has trained very hard both on the field and in the weight room and is really looking forward to playing on campus this week in front of its loyal Wolfpack fans.
“We’re extremely excited and anxious to take the field for a match that has been a long time coming for the soccer programs here at NC State,” said women’s coach Laura Kerrigan.
“This means so much to our soccer program, to our alumni, to the NC State community and to the soccer-loving fans of the Triangle,” added Kerrigan, who will begin her 10th season at the helm of the Wolfpack in 2008.
Admission to Thursday’s spring game is free.
