Sprinters Shine on Final Day of adidas Raleigh Relays

The 2008 adidas Raleigh Relays wrapped up on Saturday on a cold and rainy day at the newly renovated Derr Track on NC State's campus. The NC State men's track and field team got strong showings from its group of sprinters to post a pair of top-3 finishes in the sprint relays. In addition, NC State had spots two and three in the 200m and strong 100m finishes, as well.
John Martinez finished third in the 1,500m to pace the distance runners on the final day.
The 4x100 relay team finished third with a time of 41.22, and was the top collegiate relay in the event. The 4x200 squad finished second with a 1:26.79, and was again the top collegiate team in the event.
In the 200m, Omar Wells finished second with a 21.46, with teammate Kevin Hutton in third with a 21.82.
In the 100m, Reggie Reese finished fourth with a 10.81 to lead a trio of Wolfpackers.
