Wetherbee Regionally Qualifies at Raleigh Relays Opening Day

Freshman Colleen Wetherbee regionally qualified in the 5,000m with a 16:35.71 to lead the NC State women's track and field team during the first day of the adidas Raleigh Relays. Wetherbee finished third in the event to pace three top-10 finishes in the event for the Wolfpack. Alesha Patterson, who finished second in the indoor high jump to earn All-ACC honors at the ACC Indoor Championships, tied for fifth with teammate Mattie Bethea with a jump of 5'05.00".
Lauren Montgomery posted a 400m time of 55.78, an outdoor career-best in the event, to place seventh in the finals.
