W. Track & Field Heads to Pair of Meets

The NC State women's track and field team will compete at two venues this Friday, Feb. 8, and Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Virginia Tech Elite meet and the New Balance Collegiate Invitational. Twelve women will head to Blacksburg, Va., while three distance runners will make the trip to the Armory in New York.
Among the athletes headed to Blacksburg are Kayla Lawson (5th in the ACC in the high jump) Alesha Patterson (10th in the ACC in the high jump) and DeMiracle Washington (3rd in the triple jump, 4th in the long jump in the ACC).
Angelina Blackmon will lead the women's contingent to the Armory, as she set a provisional mark in the mile with a personal-best 4:47.50 this past weekend. She currently ranks third in the ACC in the mile and second in the 800 meters.
