Widman Named to All-ACC Academic Team

Raleigh, N.C. NC State’s Christopher Widman was to the 2007 All-ACC Academic Men’s Soccer Team announced today by Commissioner John D. Swofford.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career. All nine schools in the league competing in men’s soccer are represented on the third annual All-ACC Academic team.
The redshirt sophomore majoring in economics was the only NC State keeper to see action last season. Widman started 18 games, playing all 1,681 minutes. He recorded a GAA of 1.61, and notched four shutouts on the season.
