“Are you serious? Is this a joke? Is someone messin’ with me? I’ve never won anything in my life,” Doug said in disbelief. “I’ve registered for tons of things before and I’ve never won a thing. I guess it was my lucky day! Man, I should have bought a lottery ticket...”
On Wednesday Doug’s excitement was hard to contain as he anxiously awaited the delivery of the new John Deere Gator at home with his wife who is expecting the birth of their second child any day now. There to deliver the prized CX Gator and to congratulate Doug was Ron Liles with Southwest Farm Equipment Company located in
Doug is a huge Wolfpack fan, and actually his father is a former NC State Punter. Les Simpson played football for the Wolfpack back in the 1950’s. Doug’s three year old son has also become a big Pack fan as well, following in the footsteps of his dad and grandpa!
When asked, are you going to take it for a spin around the block? Doug actually said “No, with rain on the way I think I’ll park it in the garage for now to keep it from getting wet!”
