2/29/2008 12:00:00 AM | Track
DeMiracle Washington set a school record with a 20'01.50" in the long jump to win the title at the ACC Indoor Championships in Chapel Hill. The senior from Columbia, S.C. is the first NC State woman to clear 20 feet and its her first NCAA Provisional Mark this season.
"Pretty much since both of them won I've been smiling," said jumps coach Chris Coleman. "I knew both would be in good position here at the championships, and they set their personal records. Dexter and DeMiracle each had their best jump of the day last, which is huge."
Washington will compete in the triple jump on Saturday, Mar. 1 at 11 am.
